11 Days in Roatan in 11 Minutes
A little getaway to the clear waters of Roatan, Honduras. A quick compilation of 11 days in 11 minutes to give you a little idea of things to do here. Roatan is an island in the Caribbean off the northern coast of Honduras, mostly well known due to the fact that is a popular Cruise stop. Clear waters and abundant sea life is what makes this please a little hidden gem in an otherwise not well known country for tourism. The good: Clear waters, nice weather, lots of activities to do and safe. The bad: Due to being a cruise stop, prices are aligned to most tourist traps (which is a pity) , not a lot of variety of local food, menus are more catered towards tourists. We did find a few restaurants that had good food at reasonable prices, although they didn’t serve local food, the food was very tasty and fresh.
We stayed in West End. Restaurants to try (fully vetted, we tried every restaurant in the strip) Pura Vida, Splash Inn (Big Portions!), Creoles Rotisserie Chicken (they close when they run out of food, better for lunch), Anthony’s Chicken (gets really busy after 6pm)
